RAMADA MARCOPOLO UPDATE
I loved the mid-century vibes still present in this place.I hope they plan on keeping that, while continuing to update rooms, balconies, etc. I would stay here again, as I like the room size, the beach, the staff. I'm telling you if Ramada was sink a few million into this place, it would be the "IT" place. The hotel has an old photograph on the wall, so you can see how busy this place use to be. There are not really any Dining options near here that we could walk to however, if you go down to the basement you will find beautiful marble walls and floors and spaces for like 15 - 20 business.while I only noticed 3, a nail salon, a cute giftshop and a YUMMY italian carry-out Restaurant.we ate there and loved it.the garlic knots are perfection, sweet and garlicky. It is the biggest pool at a hotel I've stayed at for a while. There used to be diving board on the one end, so it's deep. Pool is HUGE and there are plenty of chairs. She didn't look at us when we asked about towels or the nearest bathroom and didn't raise her tone, even though we had to ask her to repeat herself. I feel bad for anyone who is hearing impaired. Staff was nice, except for pool attendant who doesn't speak above a whisper and we had to say "WHAT?" 3 times. You can see where new balconies are going in. Instantly you can tell this place use to be AMAZING! Rooms are being updated, but they do smell a tiny bit musty.
